Sharon Brettschneider of the Connecticut state Library, Otha Brown, Jr., Chairmann of the 2nd Taxing District Boartd of Commissioners, and Mayor Alex Knopp display the engraved bricks prtesented by the Norwalk Public library Board of Directors at the inauguaration of the "SoNo Library Book Walk -- Pathway to the Future" brick walkway.

The “Buy-a-Brick” project was created to augment other efforts underway to secure funds necessary to assure state-of-the-art computer equipment, technology, associated software and internet connectivity for the district of South Norwalk and the Greater Norwalk community.

The “Buy-a-Brick” opportunity is designed to enable public contributions to the effort by providing a “SoNo Library Book Walk — Pathway to the Future” inlaid with bricks engraved with the personal sentiment of the contributors.

The South Norwalk Branch Library 21st Century Fund was created by the Library Board with a total goal of $250,000.
