CELEBRATES 35 YEARS

Carol Frank is seen with Mayor Alex
Knopp and Library Director Les Kozerowitz at the celebration of her 35 years
of service: "Carol has devoted her professional life to the service of
Norwalk Public Library patrons / customers / users. In that time, she has
had a profound impact on the people (especially children) with whom she has
come in contact. We applaud her service and celebrate with her this
milestone anniversary."

"DOWNLOADABLE AUDIO BOOKS" INAUGURATED
Les Kozerowitz and Luis Ayala,
Reference Librarian, demonstrating the new "downloadable audio book"
services of the Library at a press conferences held on Wednesday, October 5.
The Press Conference was attended by
Mayor Alex Knopp and received good press attention including interviews by
Cablevision News 12. (see photo below)
The services is now available to the
general public.

TRY NEW SYSTEM

Mayor Alex Knopp downloads an audio book
during the inauguration of the new service of the Norwalk public library.
The "books" can be downloaded to the
patron's personal computer and then transferred to a compatible MP3 player
to be "read" at the borrower's convenience.
The "books" can be downloaded from the
Library's website --
www.norwalkpubliclibrary.com -- complete instructions as well as a list
of compatible MP3 players are available on the site. |
